All Bloom Township High Schools in District 206 will be designated as exemplary schools by the Illinois State Board of Education. Exemplary schools are performing in the top 10 percent of schools statewide, with no underperforming student groups. 

 

Our Mission

Bloom Township’s mission is to provide students with relevant educational experiences that assist in their attainment of competency in all academic areas and the ability to apply these skills to real life endeavors. While working within the multicultural school/community environment, we strive to empower individuals-personally and socially-to achieve their maximum potential using higher order thinking skills that prepare them for the constantly changing challenges of our global society.

 

About Our Community

Nicknamed as the “Crossroads to the Nation”, Chicago Heights is located 26 miles south of Downtown Chicago at the intersection of Lincoln Highway (Route 30) and Dixie Highway. The city features a very diverse and family-oriented environment which attributes to its commercial and industrial base.
