January 29th is an early release day (12:20 PM) for students taking the ACT practice exam and is a non-attendance day for all other students. Illinois has designated the ACT as the state’s new federal accountability assessment for high school English language arts, mathematics, and science instead of the SAT. To support students in preparing for this assessment, a practice exam will be given on January 29th to all juniors and designated seniors who must take the official ACT on April 9th. January 29th is a non-attendance day for all other students.
